A pure cleavage should (theoretically) leave the two fragments entangled, AKAIK. However, the minimal interaction with a "bath" (usually other molecules) will make the system decohere, and that would be the end of the spooky story.

We just submitted an article on aromaticity. I will not disrespect this field until the paper is accepted.
