This is quite hard to parse...
Reform have *opponents* with what Reform would consider an "extreme right wing"? 🤔😏

This is one of the most incisive comments I've heard on UK government encryption policy from a well-informed professional in the domain:

Not the original source yet, but thus was in the briefing pack from one of the agencies we work with, and they are usually well informed about parliamentary stuff.

In today's news: HMS Severn is dispatched to shadow Russian ships in the Channel. In other news: HMS Severn was decommissioned in 2017, but then had to be brought back into service for "Brexit preparedness". Brexit: forcing the UK to fall back on obsolete ships to... defend its borders. 🤦‍♂️

I thought we were still in the SM, as promised. Oh, no - I remember, it was a pack of lies, foisted on us by a pack of liars who knew Brexit was a lousy deal but didn't care because they were cosily insulated from its disastrous, ongoing effect on the economy. Brexit is forever #BuiltOnLies.

A reminder of disgraced former PM Johnson, in January 2021, saying the UK's COVID death figures were "appalling". He should know - he caused them.

Earlier this Nov., the Commission announced this joint effort with Ofcom and the Aus Safety Commission. You might wonder how they manage to claim those two regulators have achieved "world leading" child safety programs and yet only now be considering the privacy and security aspects. 🤷‍♂️💁‍♂️🤦‍♂️

There's nothing generous about the UK's approach to handling refugees.

Why are the trade deals so meagre? Because the EU has teams of experts who do this stuff professionally, full time, and the UK not only didn't, it was proud of the fact, and smug in the certainty that the world owes it a living.

Anyone who thinks I am too critical/sceptical about Blair's new stealth ID Cards policy is welcome to take a look, not just at the long-running farce of his previous attempt, but also at this large-scale central Government IT project from 2009.

We can learn, or repeat.

Yeah, just to remind everyone: Daniel Hannan has absolutely nothing to say to anyone about arguing in good faith.

Dear Colitco,
This is not the most sensitive headline to put next to your logo. Not with that strapline.

This is the Gurkha section of the CWGC cemetery near Monte Cassino. It's one section, of one cemetery, from one battle. Troops from the Commonwealth fought in practically every theatre of WW2, and troops from India, Africa and the Caribbean also fought for us in WW1.

Esatto. Ammetto con vergogna che, da ragazzo, pelavo le patate in modo così sconsiderato che non mi veniva più chiesto di farlo. Questa è la mentalità scontrosa delle aziende nei confronti del consenso all'uso dei cookie.

As you'll see from the @openrightsgroup.org analysis, Ofcom is considering banning anyone under 18 from streaming legal online content if they also get comments or payments for it. People old enough to be in paid employment would be breaking the law if they start a legal business online.

I don't think Jenrick is in a position to start accusing anyone else of bringing their office into disrepute.
