#Economic #forecast: The Swiss economy is dominated by the US tariffs. GDP will rise by 1.4% in 2025 (unchanged). Due to the US tariffs and high economic uncertainty, seasonally adjusted GDP will only grow by 0.9% in 2026. A slight recovery is expected in 2027 (1.6%).

In August, the KOF Economic Barometer drops. After an increase in the previous month, the Barometer decreases below its medium-term average again (97.4 points). The outlook for the Swiss economy is dampened.

💰Companies in Switzerland are expecting nominal wage increases of around 1.3% on average. This would mean that real wages would rise by less than 1%. There are significant differences between sectors.

The #tariffs for Swiss Imports to the US are now in force. As we calculated on 1 August, Swiss GDP is likely to fall by between 0.3% and 0.6% if the tariffs remain in place for a longer period.
