@eldritchdream.bsky.social pointed out that the spell's duration was unclear, so I made some tweaks! This cantrip got cut because it didn't quite fit the theme for the supplement, but it's still nice to get it fine-tuned.

A homebrewed spell for Pathfinder Second Edition.

[Two Actions] Phantom Footprints (Cantrip 1)
[Concentrate] [Illusion] [Subtle]
Traditions primal, occult
Range 1 mile
Duration 1 week

You generate a separate pair of footprints that branches off from your own in a direction of your choice. These footprints are identical to yours and match your distance covered—if you travel ten feet, they traverse ten feet in a different direction.

These footprints fade gradually over the course of a week. A creature that uses the Seek action to examine it can attempt to disbelieve your illusion, with a +2 circumstance bonus if the real tracks have not been concealed.

Heightened (4th) The spell has an area of a 20-foot emanation, copying the tracks of up to 10 creatures of your choice within that area.

My PF2 character, Ms. Sweetfern, mainecoon catgirl flapper cleric/ex-war criminal. Owns a gun. I love getting new takes on her for every "section" of the campaign. She recently got burned and lost a lot of hair, so I've been thinking about giving her some sort of gay sideshave!

AI is like your one ex who would say objectively wrong things with utmost confidence rather than ever admit to not knowing something.

A Google search of "deer type of legs". The AI Overview tells you, "Deer, being ungulates, have digitigrade legs." It later says they're unguligrade.

As someone who's never been able to get into a lot of "cozy queer romance" books and webcomics, this was a deeply cathartic read.

$Much is written about the healing power of coffee, community, and croissants in this cozy little book. It’s all warm smiles, gestures at jokes that aren’t actually jokes (though characters laugh anyway), and #goodvibesonly for our characters throughout. The thing is, it is hard to see the healing power of food and community, when there is nothing to heal from. The coffee shop’s customers are not fractured people, nor are they particularly unkind toward Viv. Despite their initial confusion at the concept of coffee, they accept Viv’s free samples in stride.$

I like how one of the versions seems totally far-fetched, so you assume the other version will be less so, and it's even more legendary. She would have just kept shooting dudes if her gun hadn't let her down.

Another version is that the Gestapo interrogator, in a fit of rage, threw his pistol to the table after threatening to shoot her. Taking the pistol, Portnova shot him. Escaping through the door, she shot a guard in the corridor, then another in the courtyard. After the pistol misfired when Portnova attempted to shoot a guard blocking her access to the street, she was captured.[1]

I think Pathfinder should have kept War of Immortals off the AONPRD and lowered in-game prices across the board. Really lean into a pay-to-win model.

Like, it kind of wants to just be an Iron Man class, or even a mechpilot class, but it can't commit. I never would have connected this core ability to a class called "the inventor".

It almost makes me wish the class just leaned into the cyborg/mechpilot stuff so we could get a new Wisdom martial.
