I'm a damn delight and a force of nature. I advocate dirty books. To hell with the censors! She/her & cis. (Views are my own and don't reflect my employers.)
I got an A in my final class toward my Certificate in Cultural Competency. Earning the certificate has been a great experience but I'm also so glad to be done. I am ready to spend my evenings reading for fun and watching TV instead of doing homework.

After much research and development I have made an offline version of ChatGPT.

Now you can save water and electricity while navel-gazing, and carry one of the world's most powerfully annoying AI chatbots in your pocket.

government operations don't have to make a profit when their job is to deliver mail to every address in the country, no matter how rural. So please stop with the "operating at a 9B loss" story
🚨SCOOP: Amazon is preparing to sever ties with USPS and expand its shipping network as a true coast-to-coast rival.

It could cost USPS more than *$6 billion* a year in lost revenue, and lead Amazon to dominate yet another facet of the economy.

USPS posted a *$9 billion* loss in 2025.

Listen, I OFTEN don't see plot twists coming. I'm always too absorbed in the book/movie/show. However, when I DO, it's an AWESOME feeling. And when I don't, I can look back and see what I missed, which is also fun!
Viewers/readers/players anticipating your plot twists in advance is GOOD ACTUALLY.

YOU DID A GOOD JOB WHY WOULD YOU RUIN IT. YOUR JOB ISN'T TO OUTSMART YOUR AUDIENCE. UNGUESSABLE PLOT TWISTS ARE BAD TWISTS.

sorry for the yelling but holy shit

I can't even speak on how angry I am that we've spent years trying to get a biography of an important trans woman picked up by publishers but this ethics- and talent-free incurious child had the entire media and publishing world just throwing money and attention at her

I just reconnected with a college friend who I've seen periodically in the last 20 years (I heard a song from his favorite singer and thought, "I have GOT to text him"). He has a good job, boyfriend, house, and a cat, and I am just OVER THE MOON happy for him living the life he always wanted.

Buy a book.

Any book, it doesn't matter which. The one you've been looking forward to, the one with the title that made you laugh, the weighty award-winner you've been meaning to get to. Whatever.

Treat yourself. Step away from it all. In this time of gross ignorance & madness, read something.

I maintain what I mentioned years ago: GoT in a vacuum 1-4 is amazing. Spartacus as a whole compared to all of GoT holds up better and is far more entertaining/has a better story and narrative.

SHIT, I was gonna get rid of Starz but I'll have to keep it to watch the new Spartacus show!
Here's fun: I reviewed #Spartacus House of Ashur for @sepinwall.bsky.social's What's Alan Watching! (tl;dr good!). HOWEVER if you are a TV Spartacus newbie, gather round! I'm going to share the Sparty 101 spiel I've been offering for over a decade now www.whatsalanwatching.com/review-spart... 🧵 1/?

Yeah, but unfortunately people don't really get that point so I also get why he had to spoonfeed it to the audience. Which kinda sucks but Frankenstein wasn't nearly as bad as some other movies.
Or see "you're the monster, Victor!" which seems designed to get the leonardo-di-caprio-points-at-screen.gif reaction.

I also believe that the national Democratic party should be investing in Indiana and other red states. We could make some progress - even if we don't flip elections, we could AT LEAST prevent a Republican supermajority in our state legislatures.
