My dad wanted a brown bean soup, so I said I'd make it. He did not want to, he says he imposes on me enough. I said it's not true, and I love cooking. I made nearly a gallon.

Seven more to go. Freezing temperatures will set in by the end of the week. I want them secure in my (non heated) glass house. We grew them from seeds we picked up from the streets and brought back to Belgium (not sure if this is legal.🫣)

When the papers don't inform correctly, we will never get this shift towards more plant based.
They write you need milk and meat and fatty fish.
No you don't.
You need protein, calcium and omega.

As promised the result of the 70 yo recipe I shared yesterday. My dads' (1936) capable hands working the result, flattening it. I used Solo Gourmet, which is awesome. The taste is not the same, but it is definitely a worthy colleague, one void of cruelty. Jinxy looked and saw it was okay.

Opened my kitchen cupboard and saw the little logo on the left "theft protection". It kind of made me smile. Don't think the majority is eager to steal this, especially with the flashy vegan label on the top right". 😅
Or maybe our #vegan minority consists of criminals?
