that we witness - a child watching mom and dad talking for instance - become lessons in how we talk to others as we progress in life. Children will emulate the behavior they see, and repeat it (or not) based on the perceived "success" of that behavior ...

I'm currently working through Seneca's "Letters from a Stoic".
Philosophy can be a slow go - Seneca is accessible and friendly in style, but generates its share of "Aha" moments.
