2nd time in the past few days that there has been a traffic-snarling accident near the I-95 Welcome Center near MD32 and I-95...that is a mostly straight stretch and it really is not that hard to avoid crashing...idiots.

Trying out SkyGlass - my biggest complaint is how "game-like" it feels. If I'm doing flight tracking, I'd prefer a more "professional" interface. It also seems to have slow performance even on a high powered computer. Very curious to see where this tool goes in the future, though.

They will keep letting the NWS suffer until people cave in to their goals to privatize weather forecasting. This is only the beginning. You know how crappy those mobile weather apps are? Imagine being flooded by that as your "reliable source" of weather. Awful.
For at least half a century, the National Weather Service has been an around-the-clock operation. That is no longer possible in parts of the country.
