I’ve also now had multiple(!) occasions where a dog (that should have been leashed in the area, per park rules) ran up to me and bit my food/drink.

I can’t imagine how terrifying it is as a parent to deal with this - children should be able to safely enjoy parks!!

I see it all the time in Prospect Park where dogs are running off leash through newly planted wooded areas disrupting the plantings. most egregiously I saw an off-leash dog go into the water and start chasing ducks who fortunately got away in time.
