and I feel compelled to mention that this is the sort of thing that people have used judicial resources for *since forever* and it's a very good use of resources because it allows a third party to mediate a dispute that could very well become a conflagration.

It would be a toss up if I included Menopause Manifesto, but I'd probably end up leaving it out, if only for the hilarity of it and hoping that the reporter would ask me about it so I could launch into a diatribe about menopause and perimenopause.

I'd probably debate on what to leave out, but would compromise and clean up the house & display the books I was actually reading. It would be too much pressure to pick the books that actually "represent" me.

It's the coalition that never really existed as a "coalition" but was still cobbled together by FDR.

If we could consciously build this coalition, it would be far more durable.

No consequences for anyone who tanked the economy- all the consequences were born by average americans (and of course, worse consequences for Black americans).

Of course, what we're talking about here is a party that manages to build a coalition that is cross-racial, that is built on labor rights

Love Actually. It's the storyline that holds up the best too, imo.

If a demon can be redeemed, there shouldn't be a mechanism to seal them off forever. In other words, the golden honmoon concept seems to reflect the black and white thinking of Celine, not the nuanced truth that Rumi stumbles to on her own.

Ok. Just re-watched the scene, and YES. Jinu is totally in her sword. No question. "Now I give it to you" and then he disappears into white light swirling around her and she's holding a sword. BUT THEN, are all the weapons souls?

Also, I question whether the golden honmoon remains the goal.

Oh fuck yeah. I hadn't picked up on that, but as soon as I read that- it clicks.* Ok. 1000x more excited about a sequel now.

*Kids and I watched just the final scene the other night. It was so satisfying to discover that Maya and Zoey's outfits go from dark to white as the 3 come together on stage.

GAH. Also, the story *I personally* want is the mom. I feel like I'm at least four properties away from getting that story. ::sob:: It's fine. I know the 6-12 yo demographic is less interested in that, and it's FOR THEM.

I am so stoked to both have a confirmed sequel, and they're doing it on a timeline that isn't rushed. You can *feel* the world building in there, and I just know in my bones that Maggie Kang has 10 volumes of sketched out material ready to be put into a script.

Can confirm! She's amazing and helped me think through some of my world building.
