Here's what's gonna happen next (tale as old as time): Blackstone will sell the real estate to a holding company and pocket the money. The stores will have to pay rent to the holding company, which the PE firm will also pocket.

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.
