There is zero shame in not understanding what we were experiencing wasn't normal, or that we needed specific support, until late in life. We didn't know what we didn't know-- & there were often people in our life actively trying to gaslight us & normalize what we were enduring.

The more I observe people "getting on," the less I want to and the more I wonder why people think the things they are doing are so worthwhile.
So much of it is just class signaling consumerism, and that's not worth risking debility or death for me. Our lives are worth and deserve more than that.
