It's not a common experience for me to be awestruck by what ancient people accomplished. On a special few instances, I have felt so. In Korea, the rock-cut Buddhist art of Silla and Baekje have made me pause on a few occasions in awe of their master craftsmanship and artistry.

Used to check the Department of the Interior (DOI) news page to read up on conservation projects, protecting species and improving access to the public. Now its just new oil lease and drilling announcements. #departmentofInterior

The Oscar for Best Animated Feature goes to . . .

Its between 'The Wild Robot' (now on Peacock) or 'Flow' (now on Max), the other nominees are not really in the conversation. I loved both films, but I would give the slight edge to 'The Wild Robot'. #Oscars2025

I wonder how audiences will respond to a story in Westeros that is more adventure and less dark than previous shows. The novellas are brilliant and include a rarity in Martin's writing, an honorable knight.

“It is good to know there are some true knights still.”

This is an ancient granary in Bear Ears National Monument, its more than 700 years old. Do you look at this image and think 'mining extraction'? Me neither. Let's hope the new Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum is committed to respecting the boundaries of Bears Ears National Monument. #bearsears

I suppose my lesson(s) on Japanese-Internment next week can be considered 'patriotic education'. What is more patriotic than student analysis around violations of our Constitution, so that we as Americans uphold those rights today?

Suddenly people are talking or learning about United States v. Wong Kim Ark (1898), crisis should not be the impetus for learning. Nativism never died.
