It's not just a MAGA trick, it's common political rhetoric to refer to a mythical time when everybody was happy. There was a lot of upward mobility between 1945 and the mid-70s but many populations were left out and the trend was brief.

I have to disagree. I respect service but I also respect the choice not to participate in state violence against your will. Voters can take into consideration the hypocrisy of a candidate who may have supported a war that they evaded, but not participating is not inherently a moral failure.

The more I look at that doctrine of masculinity, the more I see it's just male supremacism, the foundation of patriarchy, but unusually brazen. They believe men are rational and competent and necessarily dominant and women are emotional and inferior. Their role is to support men and their violence.
