A summary of a fic on AO3 "Unknown Number" by KizzyMeowMeow Summary: Stede Bonnet is a recently divorced, mild-mannered English teacher with a passion for literature and a tendency to overthink. A small orange-brown leaf floated down, zig-zagging on the breeze, and landed in Ed’s hair. It must have been the very last as every tree above them was completely bare. Stede reached out to pluck it free but thought better of it. “Oop, you’ve got a little—in your hair. A leaf, in fact,” he said, gesturing. “Nope, it’s—over to the left. My left—your right.” Ed gave up trying to feel for it with his fingertips. He bent forward and gave his head a dramatic shake, his hair cascading like a mane, then snapped upright—his hair flipping back down with effortless flair. “Did I get it?” he asked. Stede nodded, his gaze flicking from Ed’s eyes to the leaf still firmly nestled in his crown, then back again. “You got it,” he said softly.

Oh you’re right! How could I forget? It was basically this but like two sizes smaller. And add some ridiculously pointy dress shoes. Like pointier than seems necessary or even holy.

I know this is no-butting you, but what if Izzy is Rob and Ed is Charlie? But who would be Laura? Lucius? I just really want Ed to wear that one particular outfit of Charlie's.

IN FACT I DID ALREADY THIS. In the last chapter of Gentleman Pilot, Ed is literally wearing a version of Charlie's outfit.
Charlie (played by Catherine Zeta Jones) in High Fiedlity. She is wearing a strappy sheer white dress with black detailing that buttons down the front and is open from the waist down. It's so sheer that you can see her bra and midriff through it. Underneath she is wearing pants. She is smirking and saying, "I knew it! Fuck! Fuck! I didn’t clock it until we were halfway to the other guy’s destination. Absolute nightmare, mate.” He paused, worried he was rambling on. “How’s your night?” “Fuck this fucking rain,” Izzy grumbled, his voice unexpectedly dark and husky. Jack sat up a little straighter, glad of any attempt at conversation. “Yeah, it’s really coming down kittens and dobermans!” He laughed, hoping his passenger would crack a smile. He glanced at the rearview mirror but Izzy was frowning.
