Chants of Sennaar was such a beautiful game! I recommend it to everyone I can. I've definitely been appreciating games that exist well under the 20 hour mark a lot more these days.

Indie games have definitely been my refuge as the mainstream gaming space has increasingly turned into bland nutrient paste. There's some great stuff on Steam and Itch if you know to look, for sure.

The sheer amount of buy-your-own-reward currencies that game throws at you for yet another cave explored, mountain climbed, or bear ass handed in made me despair for where games are headed. I don't want to buy my own reward, I want to find a unique *thing* that was put deliberately in a given place.

If you have Science 50% or Luck 7 you should be able to go "I can recharge it a lil bit if I leave it in the campfire but it also may just explode next time I shoot it."

90% of people taking a dip into Wizard/Sorcerer would just be to have easy access to "Make food/drink taste how I like", no need to ask for extra salt or anything. Hell depending on how it works, it might even be a safe low sodium option.

Chilled/hot drinks and ready access to seasonings wherever you go. This would be MASSIVE.

I'm a big defender of X-Men First Class as a whole, and I know many people love the "Magneto goes hunting in Argentina" scene, as do I, but hands-down my favourite scene is Xavier & Erik's "Between rage and serenity" moment.

I love how much they expanded on the "Parents sacrifice to ensure the survival of their children" theme and extended the idea to entire timelines. They seem to have such an interesting take on the Terminator story and I need to see more.
