My theory on this: he'd never heard the song before, it was entirely a cynical marketing stunt, and he chose that song because he heard the chorus only and thought it was a song about someone taking Personal Responsibility To Pay His Bills.

I remember playing it in a shop as a kid, not knowing what it was. When the staff told me it was Ehrgeiz, I thought he just be mistaken, because I only knew it as a fighting game.

Ever since then I've wanted to play it, and I'm finally getting around to it!
