Welp, I want to support movie theaters, but Regal has officially priced me out of concessions. I'll be damned if I'm gonna spend $9+ for a soda no matter how thirsty I get.

Did the voting thing. Don't think anyone on this app really needs to guess as to how.

Actually a thing that actually exists? I haven't had a chance to preview yet.

Cindy Crawford X Kow Yokoyama is the kind of fever dream combination that could only be brought to life by the Japanese bubble economy.

Yokoyama’s Two Factory artbook has photos and behind the scenes photos from the making of this campaign.
i've had this on my hard drive for literal years at this point, my time has come

Well, that and that they were sci-fi series from the same year and all three ended up getting us cable airtime to become widely known when US DVD releases were just starting to ramp up.
Trigun and Outlaw Star both got compared to Cowboy Bebop for no reason other than Cowboy Bebop being really good

Dude's been golfing a long time, maybe he's taking some pointers from Kirby to try to 'improve' his declining game?

Willfully remaining ignorant of the reasonably foreseeable harms caused by the actions you take or incentives you create should be treated as WORSE than knowingly causing harm because it has been responsible for more damage.

Convince me I'm wrong.

Much of this goes way back in our national mythology, where the West was settled by rugged individualists (who we downplay also happened to be the beneficiaries of the largest Federal handouts in American history, mostly in the form of 'free' or cheap land and defense from its prior inhabitants)
I see it everywhere: normal folks who blame themselves when they just don't have enough, instead of seeing the system that causes that. It is also readily apparent to people from other nations: think how the French always marvel that we don't riot or have a general strike

Time for some giallo. Almost empty theater tonight since most of the Cal Poly students that show up for these are on winter break.

I’m seeing some good Macross talk and I thought I’d throw this across your feed.

For @sean.zimmerit.moe, I took a deep dive into Macross’s production through the lens of a hidden DVD interview with director Noboru Ishiguro!

Lots of good stuff in this one!

October continues with a Santa Cruz classic. I've seen this in a theater a few times, but usually as a midnight at the nick or del mar back in the day.
