My son went to private school. Two boys who indulged in racism on a school outing were summarily expelled. Not all private schools are so forgiving.

I've always thought this was the gamechanger for the Beatles. I can remember someone bringing it into college having just acquired it. All of us listening said 'What the hell is this?' We loved it but it certainly wasn't what anyone was expecting. the first 2 tracks alone are so weird and wonderful.

Topping's now have the key to the side gate, and when we've led walks for them, we go out that way. The courtyard needs TLC - I don't think Topping's are supposed to weed it.

I've been in there and gone over it. Get yourself a surveyor who knows about old buildings before you take it on - that's my advice. And I speak as someone who knows about old buildings.

Although the article says the minuet was danced one couple at a time, there were reports of them dancing the minuet 'three deep' in Bath - ie 3 couples at a time - because it was so busy.
