Two weeks after Princess Orange crashed into me and hyperextended my knee, I'm back. Full disclosure, while I was on the ground clutching my knee, Orange was so distraught, possibly about hurting me, that I had to comfort her. It's so easy to forgive a dog, not always easy with people.

While hiking with the pack this morning, we came upon a tarantula hawk. I was stung in the neck by a hornet on this trail in June. And that was doable. So I was actually curious how painful this specimen's sting was. I, of course, didn't have the nerve to find out.

The Orange dog is not so concerned about pleasing or people's feelings. She has been great at teaching me to manage my own feelings though. She is the resident Zen master.
