Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

It's always best to seek out local reporters/outlets on any big story, but especially now, when ICE has changed tactics almost certainly to evade scrutiny.

ICE has fired tear gas and pepper balls at protesters outside their Broadview facility. They are terrorizing immigrants across Chicagoland. The time to resist is now. It will only get harder as authoritarianism tightens its grip. Please pay attention to this struggle.

Charlie Kirk called me a ‘lunatic’ and a ‘prostitute’ and demanded I be deported.

Nothing, *nothing*, justifies killing him, or robbing his kids of their dad.

We don’t know the identity or motive of the shooter but murder can *never* be the response to political disagreements.

There should be a size grouping for boys who are 13-14 and going through the “growing-by-stretching” phase of development. Child size pants are too short. Men’s size pants are too big in the waist.

Is it possible to find a physician for adolescents who do not use BMI as a metric? Is that a thing?

My kid gets so anxious around going to the dr for fear they're gonna bring up BMI, and they always do.

CBS canceled Colbert’s show just THREE DAYS after Colbert called out CBS parent company Paramount for its $16M settlement with Trump – a deal that looks like bribery.

America deserves to know if his show was canceled for political reasons.

Watch and share his message.

Interesting thing about Colbert—something that sets him apart from the other late-night comedy hosts over the decades: Paar, Carson, Leno, Letterman, Conan, the Jimmys, et al.—is his willingness to be entirely candid (while remaining winsome) about his thoughts & feelings on morally weighty matters.

Have talked to local journalists in multiple states over the past day & all have asked "Could this flood happen in our state?"

Let me save everyone some time: yes

Do you live under the sky? Ok, you can flood

Some places have a much higher vulnerability and likelihood, but it can happen anywhere.

As flash floods intensify, current alert systems put lives at risk, including in New England - The Boston Globe
Flash floods are a hallmark of climate change, and they can come on fast, seemingly without warning. The ability of officials to get a warning out can be the difference between life and death.

I cannot think of a single other instance where a FEMA director was completely absent -- even Brown was still on TV.
