When I was at GAMURS and there was the whole AI content controversy, I learned a lot more about the real start of AI taking jobs: Not GPT, but Google Translate. The automation of translation has been disastrous for workers in the Global South especially
I wrote more words about how it feels to be a translator watching the games press report on AI and labor, coming from a field that's fought these battles for decades. It may look like I'm beating up on one outlet, but it's not about them; I've been trying to write this for me and my peers all year.

Weirdly enough, this isn't the only RPG from the 2000s where a German metal band gives an in-game concert! In Extremo appeared in the first Gothic, though sadly not in the international release because of licensing issues.
There's a Sacred 2 remaster out today, and trailers look incredibly bland and generic, especially compared to promotional material at the time, when they got BLIND GUARDIAN to do a song for the game, and they were NPCs in the game who you had to do a quest for to retrieve their lost instruments.
