Terrain is CNC machined in EPS in sections 1.5 m by 3 m and is generated from laser scans and photogrammetry. The whole model is coated with bathroom membrane since the EPS is permeable. The weir shapes are created from Divinycell (pvc foam) since it is quite rigid and easy to shape and fine-tune.

Not been posting much, or playing at all these days. But I'll share a bit about some model building I have been working on in the hydraulic laboratory at the University here. Model scale 1:45, not a very common wargaming scale. The whole model is 8 m by 3 m.

Yet another abysmal order roll, at least the Germans also got three ones. And those Pz iv's are getting awfully close, not looking good for the Brits, time to bug out and put the tea on..

Brits managed to get on a couple of platoons to shore up the defence but had to deploy quite far back in the open and promptly gets raked by a mg platoon that crept up on the hill. 5 shock and a second fubar..

Germans continued pushing and deployed their reserve company on the wooded hill while also advancing on the left flank. Both sides took a fubar. The other end of the board is completely ignored by both sides, it's all about the village.

British command roll at a critical time, oh boy.. at least a good artillery roll wiped out the German platoon moving into the village

Germans pushing forward but taking significant fire on the way
November 11, 2023 at 11:52 AM
The German attack on the village has developed nicely and the Brits had to pull back from the hill to regroup or face being wiped out. To be continued.

A bit of solo 'O' Group
November 9, 2023 at 9:39 PM
Was a great day! I played a game of 'O'Group in the morning refighting the German counterattack on Primosole bridge. The second game was a Sharp Practice game in 1808 at Kongsvinger between Swedes and Norwegians.
