I’m so sorry for your loss. It was so painful losing my brother 5 years ago. It was so sad when my father in law passed months later, too. Support systems make difficult times like this easier, but even with that it can be really hard to adjust. I hope you’re doing ok.

I closed my old 3.8k follower account to prevent misuse of my data and created a new work account.

Tech evolved significantly since I joined Twitter, with new risks. I’d rather build a new digital footprint with that in mind.

Increasingly less profitable and user friendly: poor privacy and feature changes, purposely throttled external links, poor culture, millions leaving. Better features elsewhere.

Optics of association: misinformation propagation, hate as free speech, etc.
