The vet just came out. They got the cystostomy port back in Kenna!!! She’s heavily sedated so not ready to leave yet but she’s done! TY to everyone who’s donated so far. It really means so much to our little rescue, Kenna the bipod cat, and the human. #catsofbluesky #differentlyabled #dc #rva 🫶🏻

So…the surgical assistant just came out + said that Kenna’s port came out still inflated which is not supposed to happen + rare. A fluke. Nothing Kenna or I did. 🙌 They may have to reopen her up bc port hole + bladder are not being cooperative. My girl being feisty even while sedated. 🤷‍♀️

We had our first snow today. The snowflakes were fluffy, lazily drifting down. 4 hours later they were small projectiles, whirling in crazed asymmetrical spirals. By sunset the sky was clearing above the blanket of white.

Winter knows that every year I greet its snowy arrival with this attitude…
