Started sculpture class recently after a 6 month absence from the ceramics studio. Proud of how this is going after just two sessions.

People hate their own art because it looks like they made it. They think if they get better, it will stop looking like they made it. A better person made it. But there's no level of skill beyond which you stop being you. You hate the most valuable thing about your art.

I feel like a cat that's been hiding under the couch for weeks since making my account here. I am starting to feel a sense of safety. Maybe I can poke my head out once in a while. Post just enough that people know I'm a person.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, has been as good at keeping me off of social media as my fear of Arcane spoilers. Every Saturday I wake up and I do not scroll scroll scroll. Blissful.

I stopped posting on the bird app long ago. Going to try lurking here instead.
