Just called the prosecutor’s office in Trumbull County where they are persecuting Brittany Watts. I asked why they are charging her with a felony and not a misdemeanor. 1/2

So important to realize—we live in the most punitive society currently on the planet. If reactive retribution worked, we’d have a relatively crime-free country
We have 20% of the world's prisoners with 5% of the people. Cops killed more people in 2022 than any year since we counted. 1/47 adults are under correctional supervision. We spend more on cops in the US than every country spends on its military besides China and the US. NYC has a literal cop mayor,

If you are in a situation like this, power down your phone completely next Wednesday (10/4) prior to the FEMA test (2:20 pm EST)
So a lot of people who are in unstable, abusive, and/or periodically violent living situations keep cell phones hidden for emergencies.
If you know anyone in such a situation, make sure they know about FEMA's testing of its Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system next Wednesday.
