Carbon removals may not be sufficient to achieve zero warming bc of asymmetries, see NCC paper. Any carbon removal should be like for like - need permanent geologic storage for fossil emissions.

Re "locked-in warming," the current scientific understanding is that current warming comes from past emissions, and future warming comes from today's+ futures emissions. Only lock-in is social inertia. See: www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Want to take effective climate action?
