I don't understand people who think the " fine tuning " argument is a good one for a god. There's nothing about this universe that shows it's fine tuned for life. We can only live on a minuscule part of a minuscule part of it and everywhere else would kill us in a heartbeat. That's not fine tuned.

There is no, and never has been evidence for god. All there's ever been are arguments pretending to be evidence. When there is solid actual factual evidence you don't need to get all philosophical to attempt to prove god exists.

The bible isn't a good book or an important book, people have just been convinced it is. There are plenty of other far more accurate books detail the history of the ANE that outshine the bible immensely. It offers nothing of benefit that can't be found from secular sources.

If a person says they believe on god based on " good " evidence I ask them if they also believe in Bigfoot? The evidence is better and sightings are ( apparently ) happening on a fairly consistent basis throughout the world. If they say yes to god but no to Bigfoot then evidence isn't the issue.

Apologists will often say things like " Aquinas said.... " or " We know from Paul that .... ", has it never occurred to them hat these ancient people had no greater proof about the truth of what they were saying a anyone else? These men had no more good evidence than modern apologists do.

Odd thought today, when Adam and Eve screwed the pooch why didn't god just kill them and start over? Why bother punishing them and their descendants waiting until the earth is populated enough to piss god off again so he has to bring the flood? Why not snap his fingers and poof! Instant do over.

Spent the day prepping for the storm and no it's projected to hit tomorrow, ugh! Stop teasing mother nature and get on with it.

The wind is picking up and the rain is coming down; I've never seen it go up come to think of it, but the fire is lit, the hurricane lamps are fueled and ready, everything is charged that needs to be so bring it on!

As my island braces for a storm I decide to do a little adulting and get things ready for the " just in case's ". Now that that's done it's feet up, fireplace roaring, hot chocolate ( hey I can only adult so much ) and cheesy B movies.

I'm constantly amazed at why some think that complex arguments for a god should be convincing. If any of the gods on offer were real it would be the easiest think to prove, they/it would just do godly things in front of everyone.
