Update on my Rock sculpting and texturing era.
I’ve sculpted and done the high to low workflow on rocks every 2-3 days and I finally have something I’m more comfortable sharing

Using an RGB image as a mask for different detail textures is a really awesome way to re use the asset in a level!

Work in progress: Fungus Material tool to use in-Engine via vertex paint.

The tool also allows the artists to choose what noise pattern and scale is used to blend the fungus with the base wall texture

I was today years old when I found out you can use curve profiles to generate wall cornices in Blender.

And with high res meshes, these make for really awesome trims to include on a kit

The icy 🥶 weather in Aalborg inspired me to create an ice material using a slightly different pipeline.

This technique gave me flexibility to customize the material for re-usability.

I've been playing "Trails in the Sky SC" from Nihon Falcom for some time now, and am really fond of the art style.

I find the isometric style with low-res textures to be really beautiful and it has a degree of charm that just keeps me going.
