Question for film photographers. Are these stains from drying? Do I need to have a word with the lab? #filmphotography

It took me 45 years (to the day) but I finally took my first self-portrait. Not the sharpest, but I'll take it. (You can tell I was concentrating hard on shifting backwards and forwards to try and get it in focus. 😆)

"Taking her portrait and parading it as art is exploitation; using her to sell a masterclass is disgraceful and Leica should be ashamed."

I've been pushing myself to shoot portraits when I'm out in the forest. I limit myself to two frames per person and then hope that at least one of them comes out well. OM10 and Fomapan 400. #filmphotography #portraits

Finished a roll of film on a Vivitar IC 101 that I started back in 2010. Not the easiest scans to work with. 😆 #filmphotography

People who take speakers to the beach shouldn't be allowed on the beach.

"The camera is an opportunity to slow down time, to find meaning in the mundane, to conjure that elusive novelty through the process of making an image, and to fix moments that would otherwise be fleeting."

If Fuji's teaser proves to be a half-frame digital camera with a vertical sensor, I'd just like to say that I predicted it five years ago. #photographers

"As AI progressively strips the humanity from the imagery we see around us, the more I feel the urge to shoot film and to tell stories. And if those stories only have significance to me, so be it." #filmphotography Read more:

I was wary of pushing cheap ISO400 film to 800 but it's proven effective. The grain is obviously a bit insane but with the Olympus XA, I seem to be able to shoot in pretty much any light and get decent results. The XA becomes very versatile as an EDC which is exactly what I was hoping for.

Roll 025. Olympus XA + Fomapan 400 pushed to 800. Feels like the perfect EDC.
