Oops forgot to post here for awhile, here's my 3-page comic "Double Life" from early this year.
A black and white full page comic titled Double Life by Brittany Penn. It shows a cute alien sleeping and dreaming of many different scenes in different thought bubbles, all adventures with another alien of a similar design but inverse colors. they are flying in the sky, in a classroom, winning a spaceship race, painting with big brushes, sitting on a beach, riding atop a subway train in a city, being weird creatures, being sea creatures, or holding hands in space. The alien awakens and says "Oh I was sleeping." You can see the alien's ship going past planets and the alien examining weird little creatures and plants. They say "I can still see them so clearly in those absurd dreams. It may be millennia, if we ever meet again. But I don't mind, that's how we are. We both have our reasons for living in each galaxy." The alien stands on a weird planet looking out at the cosmos and says "Things I see in my waking life, and the things I see in my dreams, they're all a part of this experience, there's no difference in my mind... After all, all memories become dreams in the end... We've lived so many lives in dreams, and regardless if it's true, I'll never stop living this double life with you."

Three cute plant-person characters inspired by coffee, tea, and cocoa. above them are a few facial expressions of each character and below them are reference photographs of the real plants that inspired them, collected from google. The coffee character is leaping in a dancing pose with leaf clothes and many red beaded necklaces and white pompoms on their head like the blossoms. Tea is light green with a leafy cape and tunic and skinny body with e a froglike smile. They are sitting on the ground calmly with the legs folded under them similar to criss-cross position, they have leafs flowing down like hair and a flower blooming on top. Cocoa is brown and yellow with a green leaf on their head like a ponytail. they are short and stout which shapes reminiscent of a Hershey's kiss candy, especially the cape which has fur like the blossoms.

A comic of a robot monkey swings in the jungle near a futuristic city and finds a dvd by some ruins. They use a futuristic tree to teleport to a lab. The scientist robot is amazed with the ancient relic, and encourages to others to treasure the cultural significance, implying that the non-robot beings who created it are no longer there, so this dvd is their legacy. They watch the dvd and it's a parody of the Minions. The robots look dumbfounded at first, then burst into loving emotion at it’s beauty.

A comic of a group of angry clouds are arguing and yelling at each other as lightning flashes from them. A cute little cloud flies away to a forest saying they can’t stand the other clouds. They pace around angrily thinking of the argument before releasing their pent up feelings as a rain storm. The cloud realizes they have caused a destructive flood to the forest, and begin crying even more worsening the monsoon. A cute sun wakes up over the hills and begins comforting the cloud, The Sun is encouraging the cloud to take a deep breath together. The warm breeze causes the flood to end and beautiful flowers grow everywhere as they both smile.

A comic of a cute alien explores the galaxy to do landscape paintings on other planets. The cute alien is impressed with the beauty of earth. They run back to their ship to find forgotten varnish and leave their painting unattended. The cute alien's painting is accidentally found by humans. To keep secrecy, they leave their painting behind on Earth saying “That’s one way to leave your mark on the world”. The painting is shown in an art gallery credited as Artist Unknown.

I'm so glad I was finally able to watch Perlimps streaming on Animation Showcase, I loved it! The whole time I was thinking "This is such a me-movie", you know when you find a movie that really gets your tastes and you wish you made it. Just look how pretty this movie is
