Cost estimate of the House-passed "Big Beautiful Bill" is out

It'd be the largest cut to Medicaid+CHIP and SNAP in history while still increasing deficits by $2.4 trillion due to $3.8 trillion in tax cuts

This'd be the largest transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich in a single law in history

Harvard Medical School, are you OK with this outcome? Who will speak up for her?
Kseniia Petrova, a Russian scientist at Harvard Medical School, was detained at Logan Airport after returning from France and sent to an ICE detention in Louisiana, The Insider reports.

A big critic of Putin and the war in Ukraine, she may now be deported to Russia.

The nomination of Matt Gaetz for #AttorneyGeneral of the United States is a sick joke and provocation by an unfit 'President-elect'. Is it irony that allegations of sex trafficking, sexual misconduct and drug use were apparently encouraging the 'nominee' to resign from the House ASAP?
