Happy publication day! I’ve just had the chance to order from my local independent bookshop (been meaning to all week, but pesky work kept getting in the way). Can’t wait to read.

This is theatre rather than film/TV (and also, I’m old). But Colin Firth in the west end stage production of Another Country in maybe 1983? He was astoundingly good.

Black Boys on Mopeds. She skewered English racism (and more) in a few short lines.

Don’t quote me on this - my ability to recognise people (up to and including my own family) is neurodivergently shocking - but the second pic looks like Idris.

I’m so sad his run is done. He’s been glorious, even if the writing hasn’t. I wanted more.

That’s a fabulous diklo!

I’ve enjoyed his 2nd series more than the 1st. He’s such a great actor though - with the right scripts his run could be outstanding.

It’s also available here: uk.bookshop.org/p/books/colo... - I always order via uk.bookshop.org if ordering books online - great way to support local book shops!

I've just been discharged from hospital, and almost everyone, from the team serving meals to the consultant, were immigrants, doing a brilliant job in an incredibly hard environment.

….. But the NHS, struggling as it is with cruel underfunding and neglect, still does an astonishing job.

Medium boobs here (though I bizarrely fall into their fuller bust bracket). I do have one of their fuller bust bras and it’s 99% great but there’s an annoying little (not removable afaik) clasp to convert it to a racerback which always catches in my hair, & that is a nope for me @emmachittenden.com

I love Boody stuff too, and haven’t noticed any deterioration on multiple washes, so it may well be a blend thing. Their bra/crop tops are brilliant from a (my, anyway) sensory perspective.

I'd use something like this - with the right planning, it could be great for pubs and punters.

My favourite was a colleague in an autism charity explaining to me about my triad of impairments. Here to “support” autistic people. Apparently.

I’m lucky enough to live a stone’s throw (almost, but not quite, literally) away from a lovely little bookshop (sister shop to @hungerfordbookshop.bsky.social) and I ordered from there as I always do. Indie bookshops are such a treasure.
