Just walking by our amazing PE department. Never underestimate the importance of PE in school. Not just about kicking a ball around! It's about learning, science, wellbeing, discipline, persistence, achievement, health, nutrition, skills, fun, winning, losing, friendship, teamwork and so much more!!

It's true, some Leaving Certs are worth more than others! Especially this one. Joseph here thought he would never get one, never make it. There were tough times, when it seemed less likely & far away. When othes gave up, he kept going & he kept trying! This guy will go on to do wonderful things!

I visit this place for inspiration before every new school year. For 850 years #hooklighthouse has guided countless people through all types of waters, helping them find safe passage to their destination. It has weathered every storm & stood strong, shining its light on magnificent natural beauty!

2 Kestrels fighting stopping traffic on the hook peninsula. (sound on). This, just a fraction of the action. We waited & blocked cars until they finished & flew off. Both appeared fine after one seemed to submit. Are there more about this year @birdwatchireland.bsky.social @seanronayne.bsky.social?

My most enjoyable summer read yet, #natureboy by @seanronayne.bsky.social. It sums up beautifully what's important to remember, cherish & protect in our world & lives. A must for educators, so we can properly situate nature in schools & also become more inclusive! Autism is rarely explained better!

Out for an evening walk in Clondalkin. We often forget or take for granted the treasures around us. Thousands of years of history, here a 1500 year old monument from a time when Ireland was at the global centre of monastic christian learning & writing. Nearby, so much more. Maybe I'll do a series! 🤣

Tonight, we celebrated with another group of students as they graduated from @staidanscs.bsky.social! We are sad to say goodbye & see them go, but more importantly, we are proud of their goodness, huge talent, achievements & potential to do great things. The future is exciting & brighter for us all!

Thanks Alan, can't feel it here though, outside pints kind of weather, not a puff of wind, you could play badminton, but the waves are huge and crashing off the rocks. I wonder is it some push coming for further out, lunar or tectonic? I'm no expert.🤣
