What the fuck lets bring back leaches
Under-the-weather TikTokers are slicing raw potatoes and placing them in their — and their children’s — socks before bed. The theory is that the potato draws out toxins.

However, experts warn against relying on folk remedies over medical care.
No, putting a potato in your sock will not cure a cold

This is one of the biggest sports scandals in my lifetime, probably worse than Pete Rose. And yet my boy Andy Pagés fucked it all up
This is one of the pitches that was supposed to be a ball, but Andy Pages swung anyways.

I have given up on any writer who uses substack. I have unsubscribed to all of them. Disappointed in some people I truly enjoyed but many of them are also on twitter so whatever. Even the guy who claims to be a sports journalism expert still does it. Good riddance
I am increasingly confused by anyone who continues to use Substack. This is a good guide, and there's plenty of other reasonably priced/free options out there.

It's worth it to cut off visibility to fascists.
If you want to start a newsletter and don't want to use Substack because they currently platform/sponsor Nazis: consider using the free and open-sourced alternative that has been around for over a decade.

I'll personally walk you through it.

Not to be a dork but if you feel that as a fan you are helping the Bills wouldn’t you be doing your 1/12th? There are eleven players on the field at any given time and we are not. Hence, “12th Man.” AND, shouldn’t all starters at the very least count? So 1/23rd. Math got real over here quickly

Now wait one minute here. I just listened to a podcast with Derek Thompson and Matt Yglesias informing me that it was not some referendum
Chris Coons: "He's not listening to concerns about lowering costs. Instead he's worried about decorating his new Marie Antoinette ballroom or engaging in trying to figure out how to get his name on more statues and stadiums, or he's sitting across the table in the Oval Office with authoritarians."

If you watch the modern equivalent of gladiator battles please unfriend me because you are dumb as fuck and I don’t want you showing in my feed.

Had a little thing tonight. It’s the only team I coach now. It’s a middle school baseball team and the 8th-graders have their second straight championship and our third in a row

He is absolutely one of my favorite players of all time because he was so good and so dynamic. I appreciate his loyalty but I wish he had a different career arc
Each spring for at least the past three years, Trout vows to get back to his old form.

He says his doubters serve as motivation.

There’s still a chance at a happy ending, or maybe just a happier one, writes @brittghiroli.bsky.social.
How did Mike Trout, the best baseball player of his generation, fade away?
He was a baseball god before his body betrayed him. Did he harm his legacy by staying loyal to the Angels?

Man, all the Buffalo cops who live in Lancaster can’t make a difference on election day in the mayoral race. I am so happy for my friend Sean Ryan

I really wish the EC Dems had run literally anyone for Sheriff because we may have been able to vote the usual racists out this year

Early voting is like when the Bills win on Thursday night. You can just relax, not deal with lines, and hope to watch the people you hate lose

Sean McDermott is the best coach in Bills history and it is not particularly close. Hate away, but unless you pull some coach from the 1960s I never saw I am willing to argue it all day
