Some of my socks have worn through and are just bad socks so these are now going to be my only socks. I will buy three more packs and then throw all my old socks into the recycling

Currently I have nothing but black socks but I did that by just getting rid of all the socks that weren’t black so they’re not all the same sock. I wear odd socks as a result but no one knows because they are all black.
These socks have a cushioned sole and feel nice to wear. They will soon be the only sock I ever wear.
“But what about when these wear out?”
Oh I’m going to buy replacement socks too, don’t worry. I will have years worth of these boring looking black socks. I will die in these socks. Available now from Sainsbury’s

Oh by the way I did get a standing ticket in the end. It’s easier to buy tickets on resale a few hours later than try and fight during the first hour

Here’s what I had for dinner

It’s butternut squash ravioli, kale, toasted walnuts, gorgonzola and some honey cocktail sausages that I cut up and cooked

I did not manage to get a ticket to Twice in Paris. Do I just make peace with that and not go? It’s so expensive.

It’s all the categories of seats and they all say sold out and there’s me trying to buy a standing ticket, which I don’t really want, because it’s the only one left and that’s actually sold out too…
Honestly ticket buying for big gigs is too stressful, I don’t like it. I think you’re better off waiting for things to calm down, second shows to be added then buying a ticket on resale a few months later.

I went to see One Self on Wednesday at the Jazz Cafe. It was really good. Not enough space here to talk about it so join me in the Alt text

Anyway it was a bit quiet at first but meant I could sit at the back and still see the stage during the support acts. Also their mics were way lower than the bass in the music which was fine for the girl singing but the second girl rapping I couldn’t really hear anything she was saying. A shame.
BluRum13 fixed the sound within seconds of being on stage but then it turned out Yarah Bravo was ill and there was a replacement. Gutting because her voice is so unique and she’s a huge part of why One Self were so cool, thought I might leave early.
I ended up staying for the whole 90 minute show, it was great- they played everything you’d want to hear and some new stuff, Killa Kela came out to beat box and blow minds like it was 2005 and I just had a great time.
Also the smaller crowd meant that when people were chatting or flipping their hair in my face I could just walk calmly away from them to another spot in the crowd.

I really hope they do another show with Yarah there though, I will definitely go

One of your best chances to see a virgin on-screen

You see this guy wrote an article about that AI actress and the subheading has “if you wanted to see a virgin on-screen this is one of your better chances”
And then I looked him up and I was like “great joke here, he looks like some kind of nerd virgin”

But honestly? Being a virgin is fine. Looking nerdy is ok. I’m just making a cheap joke here about his daft article and maybe it will get a laugh and a like or do but let’s try not to shame people. This guy can get shamed though, he seems like a twat.

But I do recommend getting a book because look at this. You can sit in a pub and have a pint and not look at your phone, just chill out and do a crossword and feel ADORABLE. Imagine seeing this guy with his pint and his puzzles. You can be that guy.

Here I’ve paired the sandwich with a big bag of crisps from the premium range. A bit more expensive than the meal deal crisps would have been but this is now a luxury meal deal

Prawn Marie Rose crisps. Americans call them chips! Guess what they call chips? Fries, yeah. Even chip shop chips they’d be like “thick cut fries” or something. I know, mad

And I also took this photo of it after a took a bite. I was so delighted but let me tell you when I sent this to my friends expecting to be carried around the virtual room on a chair they were not interested in the slightest. I guess they’d be like “why not just boil some eggs and make a sandwich yourself?”
Well you sure could. I guess you could also thinly slice a potato and deep fry it and add your own flavouring. You could do all kinds of crap.

Mash that egg up with the eggs from the protein pot and add more mayo if you’re a dullard or salad cream if you’re a legend. Then reconstruct your sandwich
