it is not difficult whatsoever. The actual time consuming part of creating subtitles is syncing them up with the video, formatting them (so they're not too short/long) and in my case, translating them.
Podcasters don't need to do any of that. They can just run the software and skim it.

if you have a podcast with no transcript, you are saying FUCK OFF to the deaf, hard of hearing, and people who prefer to read. I promise it won't take you more than 5 minutes to do. Let the software run + then skim it for errors.

there is so much transcription software out there now, there is no excuse for them not doing it. You can let it run in the background, take 5 minutes to check for errors, then post it.

It's understandable that people focus their criticism on the US because we are the most powerful nation and everything we do affects everyone else. I'm not saying we're good, by any means. But don't act like your shit don't stink.
