We find that all critiques led partisans to report lower levels of support for and perceived legitimacy of the bill. This happens even when the criticism is made by the opposing party. We find that while this out-party criticism does inform attitudes, it is less effective than in-party criticism.

Fixed a mistake. Don't see many differences when I split by older and younger Gen Z overall, but younger white Gen Z men do seem to be a bit more Republican than older Gen Z men. This doesn't really fit the young-men-are-radicalizing discourse because men in this group aren't less Democratic.

Lots of takes floating around out there about how young men have gone hard to the right in ways that differ from everyone else, but I'm not seeing that in the 2024 CES data. Gen Z men look a lot like Millennial men on partisanship, ideological identity, and self-reported vote choice.
