Safe from the LA fires for now, but since I'm in the Valley I've been on the knife's edge of leaving town for the last couple days.
Trying to be optimistic about them holding the line, but if it crosses the 405 then I'm heading out right after. Locals should have their exit strategy in order.

Re-watching Season 1 of Arcane to prep for a binge of Season 2, and as much as I loved it, I barely remember anything I'm seeing.
That happen to any of you, in this age of streaming? It's like I only have flash memory for even the best material.

I'm always gonna lean toward writing near-future for my sci-fi, but man, the near-future hasn't been kind. This'll be the third time I'll need to partly rewrite Daytrippers since I wrote it in 2017.

Disappointed seeing some of the publishing news. Just want to reiterate our position on "AI" training:
We will never willingly allow someone to train "AI" tools on work we've received or published. There will not be any licensing deals here. No in-house projects either.
