Eyes on the prize: to ensure our children stand a chance of ANY future, a viable biosphere is paramount. The technofascists in ascendency know full well the dangers ahead, and are consolidating power for that reason.
They don’t have a viable plan.
Habermas and the Frankfurt School - the good old days when you could tell the liberals from the neolibs. Now that we have straight up fascism, the neolibs don’t have to pretend to be liberal.

If corporations did not put profit ahead of ethics (see for-benefit corps) this would not be such a problem. But we seem to have reached an apogee where ethics and simple decency have been replaced by unfettered lust for power (fascism).
But fascism has been defeated before - we can do it again.

It’s no accident. The techbroligarchy have launched and endlessly promoted AI precisely because it is the cornerstone of their ideocracy.
It’s the California Ideology gone full technocracy - the net being weaponized against humanity (when it offers such liberating potential).

Worse than bland porridge, it is the slime on the pond that chokes out all the oxygen. By “flooding the zone” it essentially makes the fascists job easier by automating the endless production of garbage.
