Completely with Brian Leddin here. As someone that votes centre-left and pro-EU, I can't get my head around how so many can simply ignore this stuff.

Ciaran Ferrie's piece in @irishexaminer.bsky.social nails the Govts capitulation on the Speed Limit Review. Identifying the urban roads that should be 50km (arterial) and 30km (everywhere else) is a relatively simple technical exercise with a small bit of guidance. Absolute cowardice.

Nice piece by Paul Rouse in the @irishexaminer.bsky.social on the GAA as a positive force for integrating immigrants.

Worth 3-5 mins of your time submitting a positive submission to this. A traffic-free greenway route between Cork City & Kinsale that gives a new lease of life to assets like the Chetwynd Viaduct, supports our economy & improves road safety is in the public interest corkkinsalegreenway.ie

From @colmoregan.bsky.social piece @irishexaminer.bsky.social today & a tribute to the quality of work undertaken by both LA's to date (with more to come). When taking some Dutch cycling experts there last year, they commented that parts will need to be widened to accommodate future demand

Simple and fairly effective food labelling in France. Can't see why this should be a big problem implementing this in Ireland?

Full credit to you Tim. Did you see this during the week?

From yesterday's Examiner. LDA increasingly more active on small-medium sized sites tbf. Loads more to do. Unlocking the greenway from the Shandon RC down to Kennedy Q should be expedited if possible. Not least as the active uses would makes MCP & other waterfront sites more attractive to redevelop
