So pleased with myself for getting back into reading this year. I made myself a tracker and even adjusted my yearly goal upward as I met the first one I set (35->40). Not bad for only starting this in June!

Inflicting emotional pain on my friends via fic (Mass Effect, Garrus/Shepard/Kaidan eventually, Garrus POV, snippet is up to the end of ME2).
But it was good. And continued to be good. They made it through the Omega-4 relay and didn't die. It was close - too close, sometimes, but they all made it home. To the Normandy. (And Garrus would carve the Cerberus logo off with a screwdriver if he had to, but the Normandy was still his home. More than Palaven, more than the Citadel, more than anywhere he'd ever been.) Home was anywhere that Shepard was. Even when she had to return to Earth and took the Normandy with her. Even when he had to stay in turian space and do what he could for his people. When she left, home went with her.

Fun fact about FB - there's a "restricted list" you can put people on so they just can't see your stuff, but you don't actually block them. This is funnier, so I'm doing it to both the asshole and my cousin who is also being an asshole. :)))

I had to go look some up and none of them are still *quite* right, but I think the best for looks is Invi's Keyblade. Getting something both lightning-themed and purple doesn't happen in most games, so if I have to pick one, we're going with purple.
Invi's keyblade is a purple and silver sword with a half-basket guard of leaves and branches. At the top of the hilt is a purple mask of a snake's face. The "blade" end has a heart-like shape at the top and an arc of thorny vines. The keychain is made of more leafy shapes, descending from the hilt.

Also the transition of this shot from the first to the second in the intro animation makes me feral with love every single time I get to that point. The character growth and interactions in this show get me so hyped.
