Hemi came down with a really terrible upper respiratory infection. Three emergency vet visits, one overnight. One crap vet wanted us to think about his “guarded diagnosis” am thankful that we were able to pay for it and cannot imagine a world without him in it.

Didn’t expect to start my morning crying. My relationship with my mother was complicated in the same way. To her other family, she was the crotchety housewife. To me, who came first, she was the hurricane you love and hate in the same breath.

I did my masters thesis on just this. Reading your thread was a walk down traumatic memory lane. I’m so glad you shared this! Also, not weird at all that Edvards son was Andersen traveling companion in later life.
