It's fair to say the end of 2024 was a terrifying disappointment, but a high point for me was "discovering" Bob Vylan. Their album 'Humble As The Sun" is absolutely breathtaking, leaping across diverse genres while retaining an intelligence, humour, and righteous anger that is awe inspiring.

There's something about attending a gaming event after a work shift (even a truncated one like Saturdays at the bank) that really ramps up the anticipation. Can't wait to hit Black Moon Games after work to get my #starwarsunlimited draft on!

My FLGS, Black Moon Games in Lebanon NH, is combining its Skirmish Season 10 event with their annual charity event to benefit a local food shelf. Despite there only being 11 players, they've collected hundreds of items, and will also be making a cash donation. #fabtcg

I'll admit it...I'm basic. Sanguivore dominated my early 2024 listening and is still in regular rotation. Rise Against is almost exclusively due to Endgame being a fixture in my listening habits since it came out.
Interesting to me, the top four are mostly due to me listening to complete albums.

Interesting Thanksgiving for us. Had to cancel our plans to travel and visit friends due to the surprise foot of snow we got, and have been without internet at home since Saturday. Still, excellent company and amazing food, so no complaints from me.

I spent seven years working for Cumbies, and for most of that, I worked every other weekend, often starting at 4am. Now I have one Saturday half shift a month, and somehow it feels even more disruptive! At least my co-worker tomorrow is a gamer, so we can chat cards all morning.

Season 1 PQ dates went up for #StarWarsUnlimited. Planning on hitting the VT and NH events, with the obvious seasonal caveat that Snowmageddon can derail the best laid plans at any time from late October to early May.

It's always a little wild to see people on social media posting in fan groups to specifically trash the subject of that group. Seeing it a lot in #StarWarsUnlimited FB groups right now. Legitimate complaining is one thing, but these folks have done nothing but butch right from day one.

Three years ago I ran my very first #FaBTCG event, an unofficial WtR sealed . Still playing and enjoying the game, which recently reached its 5th anniversary. Thanks @fabtcgofficial.bsky.social - I look forward to many more years of quality gameplay and industry-leading OP.

Drafting the latest #StarWarsUnlimited set this Sunday at Black Moon Games in West NH. Draft is clearly baked into the game at a fundamental level, which was a big initial draw for me, but it's only now we've really seen the supply issues let up enough to have regular draft events. Can't wait!
