I maintain my position that white collar crime remains the most underprosecuted, and more vigilance on this would have saved us from at least two Trump presidencies before they happened. These guys are sloppy, they're just also stupidly intimidatingly rich. But not richer than the State.

I don't think you can understand... hell, quite a lot about recent American politics... without appreciating what it means that revelations of institutional sex abuse have repeatedly torn through major conservative social institutions like the Black Death.

I was valedictorian of my small Texas high school and one of my strongest memories was showing up for my first aerospace engineering class at UT and they asked who was valedictorian or salutatorian and every single kid in that class raised their hands lmao

This is not some impressive literary observation but the Animorphs series, the fact that these kids just kept getting beat over and over again but kept trying for minor victories let down by authority figures again and again made a big impact on me

I am working on the high king right now. I didn’t read these as a kid but as a 39 year old dude looking for good book series for his daughter I’ve really enjoyed the books
