Another jet fuel spill in Hawaii by the US Navy

The 4th known serious spill of toxic chemicals into our ecosystem since ‘21 Red Hill. The US Military is the greatest threat to life in Hawaii

How many more times will we allow this before the Hawaiian people expel them for good?

The US Gov is looking to slash $500M in Federal funding for Dept of Hawaiian Home Lands.

They are coming for every single Native Hawaiian program.

If we’re no longer benefiting from federal funding what’s preventing us from reestablishing a sovereign Hawaii & rebuilding our own national wealth?

Earlier this year, ProPublica found that the sepsis rate in second-trimester pregnancy loss hospitalizations increased by more than 50% under Texas’ abortion ban.

Here’s how we did our analysis.

Texas Won’t Study How Its Abortion Ban Impacts Women, So We Did
Since Texas banned abortion, no one has studied the statewide effects on pregnant women experiencing complications. Here’s how we sifted through data on millions of pregnancy hospitalizations and…

Hokulea arrives in Kualoa for her 50th anniversary ceremony. When she left on her maiden sail from these shores, she was the first traditional Polynesian Voyaging Canoe built in decades

hey so, um, all this is terrible, but the *1st* thing we need to halt is this: Trump's EO to clear cut 280 million acres of trees in National Forests and protected public lands.

our forests are irreplaceable. we need folks on the ground to stake out, track logging companies, create roadblocks, etc.
Trump orders swathes of US forests to be cut down for timber
President’s move to expand tree cutting across 280m acres evades rules to protect endangered species

The real travesty in the firings of *promoted* probationary federal employees is their probationary status at all. That is a topic of bargaining and sadly something that has apparently been settled for by the union and it's members. It is truly absurd.

Indo-Paccom being one of the ONLY federal departments and even military commands to not be impacted by funding cuts should tell you everything about the fact that their purpose is insidious and meant to be subversive. Their role in the new Cold War is too crucial to cut

If our Kupuna saw their food system falling into disrepair they would say “clean em up already, stop complaining no food.” We have the right to seize all state lands protecting forests of invasive trees destroying our ancient agricultural sites. Get em all back into production, da time is now.

The way that employers are nickel and diming workers is crazy. Working at a union I see it every day. It’s not just low wages, corporations are trying to drain and suck every dollar from workers. Was just at a hotel that CHARGES its workers for lunch every shift even if they don’t use the cafeteria

Beginning to see our native ʻOʻopu Nakea (goby fish) appear in our stream at Puʻuhonua O Waimanalo for the first time in recent memory. They’re a “species of special concern” by the American Fisheries Society (AFS) & require cleared waterways to successfully spawn.

And we need to max tax all the evil billionaires who own prime real estate here.
Hawaii is in position to call for the eviction of all US Troops unless all leases, not just those that expire in 2029, are renegotiated at a premium. As Federal programs disappear we would be well funded & positioned to reimplement our own Dept of Edu, Universal Healthcare & other social services
