The problem isn’t America’s decline as the global unipolar hegemon. It’s the abrupt severing that is causing state actors to scramble for security. A responsible leader would negotiate this stuff gradually rather than just act crazy and trigger all kinds of security crises

I watched The Abyss a couple weeks ago. Most of his movies deal with the theme of the human spirit fighting to survive in environments where human engineering has pushed us to a level of hubris that would terrify your average citizen. But then then the badass crew steps up to save the day
