I’m working on finishing up narrowing down lots and lots of photos from my long-term documentary project on retirementville for my book and it has been fun seeing similar scenes, some photos that were photographed a decade apart

A sweet man I photographed for a sad story this year died. I'm reminded of how comforting photos can be to those who are left behind & I'm glad I took some happy photos of him & his wife so I can send those to her.
He wept when we spoke in May. This heart was hanging on his front door.
