and fwiw, I'm looking forward to the next episode based on what they have in the title menu.

(the time stamp at the beginning also confused for a sec, otoh, I think that scene did bring out Carol's characterization to at least the 7/8ths point)

I want to defend them by saying 'the isolation is the point' but also want to agree with you that even with The Thing That Happened, not a lot, and probably not enough, happened in this episode.

Oof best wishes

I agree with this too, in that work from home for the established professional (esp with young kids) is almost all upside (because you know your worth and can show it). For the junior person just starting out, it's not only the 'invisibility' it's not having any mentors or even peers to help learn.

I do think some of those have been a mistake (my 'favorite' was when Arlington county gave a subsidy for DHS offices in Pentagon City), & moreover, more 'long term' thinking is needed - as we are seeing in commercial-residential conversions (which are more simply changing zoning than anything else)

That is certainly true and why one sees a lot of mayors and the like take actions where the critics are 'why are you bailing out commercial property owners' (thru back to the office reqt's or just straight up subsidies) - because, yes that's where the tax money is.

But now is recovering, because work from home means there are now again people that can walk over (especially over to the coffee shop) during a typical day.

...and for the African American vote share, that's reversed. So those sizable swings towards Trump in Asian & Hispanic populations were more visible in NJ, and then their reversal even moreso.

Apparently some can, others are able to get their cameras to pick it up, but i get bupkis (probably due to too much light pollution)

But, my cousin lives in an exurb of Seattle, not that much further forth at ~47.2°. This is looking southwest. I do not think he changed any camera settings and told me in conversation he could see the red glow of the aurora with his naked eye.

I suppose it's never going to show up if i keep spelling its name wrong.

I don't have any doubt that Jeffrey Wright could do a Jersey accent that makes the Sopranos' boys sound like Received Pronunciation.
